Architectural Design

The design is paramount for our project, a different project from the conventional in our geographical area La Manchuela. A concern for art, architecture, aestethics and good look, al linked to wine. A concern for innovation, for the original, for the aesthetic, reminscent of the avangardes that emerged at the beginning of the 20th century (cubism, futurism, surrealism..) and more specifically to Neoplasticismo, an avant-garde emerging Holland, together with the Stijl magazine, which combines the union of art, paintig, sculpture, design, architecture... and whose basic principles are based on a return to the important, the simple, the primordial, geometric shapes, straightlines and colors basic (red, blue and yellow) next to the pure colors (whit, black and grey).

Our winery La Cepa de Pelayo combines art, architecture, tourism and most importantly, winemaking. An ambitious project that architectuarally creates a building designed to be useful to its use, a building that combines a spatial richness with volumes of straight lines that receives the visitor with a large overhang that marks the entrance aerea, and that covers also the unloading aerea of the grape boxes and the entrance ramp to the basement for the confortable movement of the material. A building that combines a part of transformation with another of commercialization, spatially united, where the protagonism is in the elaboration of the wine and its routes. Where form all the spaces, entrance, shop, tasting room... visually thanks to the different sections and the spatial richness you can see the cellar with the barrell room, the bottling aerea or the processing space with its tanks of concrete.

In shot, our winery La Cepa de Pelayo in Alcalá del Júcar, makes available to our wines and our customers a building at the forefront of architecture, according to our main idea of relating a esthetics design and good work with the return to basic, primary and simple, to make our fantastic range of wines.

CONCRETE DEPOSIT

Our concrete tanks with their microporosity allow mircro-oxygenation of the wine, and besides being a neutral product, it leaves no residue of any kind. If what we are looking for is to create the purest wine, highlighting the flavors of the land where it was raised, from the grapes that mold it, concrete is the best option.

Barrel room

Our French oak barrels help to oxygenate and transmit their attributes to our aging wines in a slow and balanced way, contributing to the creation of very elegant wines.

A global vision

Our modern building allows from all spaces, entrance, shop, tasting room.... visually thanks to the different sections and the spatial richness. You can see the basement with the barrel room, the bottling area or the space processing with its concrete tanks. .
